Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of hobbyinterest.net (the "Site"), operated by Central Texas Model United Nations, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

Please read the health disclaimer. The Site describes breathing exercises. Some of them are not safe for everyone. Section 3 and our medical disclaimer set out important limits on what this Site is and what it is not.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. What the Site is

The Site is a free, non-commercial library of educational articles about breathing and breathwork, published as part of our charitable public-education activity. It is offered at no charge, carries no advertising, and sells nothing. We may add, change, or remove content, or suspend or discontinue the Site, at any time without notice.

3. No medical advice

The Site is for general education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Using the Site does not create a clinician–patient, therapeutic or professional relationship of any kind between you and us.

Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read here. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing or stopping any breathing practice, exercise routine, treatment or medication — particularly if you are pregnant, or have a respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological or psychiatric condition, or a history of fainting, seizures, panic attacks or trauma.

Some breathing techniques described here involve hyperventilation, breath retention, or intense and prolonged breathing patterns. These can cause dizziness, fainting, tingling, muscle spasm and strong emotional responses, and can be dangerous in some circumstances — never practise them in or near water, while driving or operating machinery, or while standing. You practise anything described on this Site entirely at your own risk.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately — 911 in the United States. Do not rely on this Site.

See our full medical disclaimer.

4. Acceptable use

You may read, print and share the Site's pages for your own personal, educational or non-commercial use. You agree not to:

5. Intellectual property and third-party content

The Site's design, layout, code and original text are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws.

The Site also presents educational material, images and videos that are owned by third parties and used with permission or under applicable licence, and embedded media is served from and remains the property of its original publisher. Nothing on the Site transfers ownership of that material to us or to you, and no trademark, service mark or logo appearing on the Site may be used without the owner's permission.

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, please email contact@foreigntalking.com with the URL of the page, identification of the work, your contact details, and a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised. We respond promptly to properly made notices and will remove or attribute material as appropriate.

6. Third-party links

The Site links to external websites, research databases, videos, applications and products. Those links are provided for reference and convenience only. We do not control, endorse, guarantee or take responsibility for third-party content, products, services or privacy practices, and we receive no commission, affiliate revenue or other payment for any link, mention or recommendation on the Site. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and them.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances. Health and scientific understanding changes over time, and an article that was accurate when written may become outdated.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER WE NOR OUR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE — INCLUDING ANY INJURY, ILLNESS OR ADVERSE EFFECT RESULTING FROM PRACTISING ANY TECHNIQUE DESCRIBED ON THE SITE — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury or certain damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Central Texas Model United Nations, Inc., its directors, officers, volunteers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of the rights of a third party.

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

12. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and medical disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor organisation.
